Good Afternoon TJL Families,

I hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend! With fall sports and activities in full swing, I'm sure many of you are staying busy. We are excited to see you at our TJL Meet the Teacher Nights on Tuesday and Thursday.

TJL students are off to a fantastic start! They've quickly adapted to their new routines, embraced learning with enthusiasm, and are already showing what it means to be kind, respectful, responsible, and safe. We're excited to see all the growth and success that lies ahead this year. We appreciate reminding your child to remain safe while riding the bus to and from school.

TJL students will have the exciting opportunity to take a walking field trip to HHS on Wednesday, 9/10 (Rain Date Thursday, 9/11). They will see a showcase by the Harborfields High School Marching Band!  Please make sure that you have returned your child's walking field trip form so that they can participate.  Additionally, please send your child to school that day with a towel that they can sit on (if the bleachers are wet). 

On Thursday, September 11th, we will observe Patriot Day at TJL. To honor this important day of remembrance and to show our unity as a school community, we invite all students and staff to wear red, white, and blue to school.

Thank you for your support as we recognize this day together.

This week, we will be conducting our first fire drill. These notifications are provided to help you have conversations with your child, if necessary, to ensure they feel comfortable and prepared. Click here for the Harborfields District Emergency Information Guide. As part of our commitment to student and staff safety, we conduct various safety drills throughout the school year. The purpose of these drills is to help everyone become familiar with our emergency procedures and respond quickly and effectively should a real emergency occur.
