TJL Weekly Update

Good Morning TJL Families,
I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend! It’s hard to believe we’re already turning the page to October. As we head into a new month, thank you for your continued partnership and all the ways you support our Lahey Lions each day.

Here’s a quick look at the week ahead:
  • School is closed on Thursday, 10/2, for Yom Kippur. Wishing an easy fast to those who observe.
  • Morning music ensembles are getting underway. If your child participates in chorus, band, or orchestra, please check the schedule sent home by our music teachers.
  • Classroom routines are in full swing. Please continue to send your child with a daily snack and a water bottle.
  • Expected Bus Behavior- Please reinforce safe bus behavior with your child. Continued conversations are important and appreciated!
Looking a bit ahead:
  • October events & updates will be shared as they approach; keep an eye on your email and our Instagram for highlights and reminders.

Important Information for the Week

9/30- Tuesday

HF Families, you’re invited to an interactive “Living Wax Museum” where history comes to life! Join us Tuesday, September 30, 6:30–8:00 PM at the Harborfields Public Library to “push a button” and watch student-portrayed historical figures speak, share facts, and pose for photos. Enjoy fun giveaways, meet HHS and OMS student performers, and celebrate HHS senior Matthew Fey’s Eagle Scout project in partnership with the library. Questions? Call (631) 757-4200

Lockdown Drill

10/1- Wednesday

TJL will be having our first Lockdown Drill on Wednesday, 10/1. The purpose of this drill is to ensure that everyone is familiar with our emergency procedures. Please click here for our notification memo.

10/2- Thursday- Schools are Closed

School will be closed on Thursday, October 2, in observance of Yom Kippur.
