Dear TJL Families,

As we head into this short week, we are reminded of all we have to be thankful for. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our Thanksgiving HACO Food Drive...your generosity truly embodies the spirit of our school community.

This morning, I had the pleasure of attending the Corey’s Promise Color Run. Yes, that was me in the inflatable pig costume, joined by Mr. Rettino (lobster) and Mr. Harmon (flying squirrel)! A huge thank you to our incredible PE department for dedicating time to prepare our students for this run. It was truly wonderful to see so many of our TJL students and families come together for such a special event. Check out the pictures below!

Tuesday- TJL PTA Pie Pickup- 11/25

Pie pickup will take place at TJL between 10:30am-12:30pm. Please reach out to tjlpta@harborfieldscsd.org with any questions.

Wednesday- Spirit Day- Fall Colors Day- 11/26

Wear any autumn color to school to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Wednesday- Emergency Preparedness Drill- 11/26

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, TJL will conduct an Emergency Preparedness Drill as noted on the District calendar. Dismissal for all students will occur 15 minutes earlier on this day. The reason for this is to meet the requirements of Section 155.13 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education. This Regulation states that every school district must have an early dismissal disaster preparedness drill as part of a local emergency preparedness plan.

Students taking the bus will be dismissed from TJL at approximately 3:15pm and will arrive home about 15 minutes earlier on this day.

For all pick-ups, we will have an early pick-up dismissal at 3:00pm. Any student who has not been picked up by 3:00pm will be held until after bus dismissal (around 3:30pm). 

We encourage students to take the bus home on this day, as it is practice in case we need to have an emergency early dismissal.
