We are excited to invite you to a special parent workshop taking place at TJL on February 9th at 7pm @ TJL, titled “Unlocking Leadership at Home.” This engaging evening will focus on helping children build confidence, develop strong leadership skills, and learn healthy ways to navigate conflict.
As part of our ongoing work with students around our Lion’s Mane Mission- Being Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Inclusive, we are thrilled to partner with the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying for this important event. The workshop will be led by Joe Salamone, Founder and Executive Director of LICAB, who works with school districts across Long Island to support students and families in building positive relationships and strong communication skills.
During the session, families will learn:
- How to help children grow into confident leaders
- The importance of empathetic listening and communication
- Practical strategies for supporting children through conflict
- How to approach conversations at home and respond thoughtfully to what children may share
We truly believe that all students have the capability to be leaders, and this workshop will provide valuable tools to help nurture those skills at home.
This event is open to all parents of students in grades K–8.
To support families, our Makerspace and Library will be open with supervision, offering a fun and safe space for children while parents attend the workshop.
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful evening of learning and connection!
