TJL Weekly Update

10/5-10/9

Good afternoon, TJL Families!

We have an exciting week ahead as we continue to build a culture of kindness, respect, and belonging at TJL!

On October 7th, our entire school will come together as all students sign our No Place for Hate Pledge, reinforcing our shared commitment to making TJL a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included.

We also look forward to our Student Monthly Meetings on October 9th, where our focus will be on sportsmanship and the importance of showing respect, encouraging others, and demonstrating good character both in and out of the classroom.

Looking forward to a wonderful week ahead,

Mrs. Washington

Important Information for the Week

10/7- No Place for Hate Pledge Signing

Our TJL school community will come together to sign our No Place for Hate Pledge. This special event reinforces our commitment to creating a culture of belonging where every student feels safe, respected, valued, and included.

Through our pledge, students will commit to choosing kindness, standing up for others, celebrating our differences, and treating everyone with respect. Together, we are building a school community where Everyone Belongs! 💚

10/9- Student Monthly Meeting

Our October Student Monthly Meetings will take place on October 9th, with a focus on sportsmanship! Students will explore what it means to be a good teammate, encourage others, show respect, and demonstrate good sportsmanship both on and off the field. We will also proudly recognize our October Lahey Lions of the Month for demonstrating the values of our Lion's Mane Mission!

Harlem Wizards Wizfit Challenge

We are excited to partner with the HF PTA Council to bring the Harlem Wizards WizFit Challenge to our schools! This fun and engaging program encourages students to get active while working together to support our schools.
